Long Island City, New York, United States Job Description General Summary : This position is responsible for initiating contact with existing and potential customers. Major Responsibilities :include the following. List the job's most import functions and responsibilities. Manage assigned accounts Achieve sales goals while maintaining profitability goals. Penetrate new markets. Develop and maintain business relationships with customers. Secure and place orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment. Attend trade shows. Special projects as needed. Other duties as required. Specific Job Skills : Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face-to-face and in group settings Decisions are guided by precedent and interpretation of applicable laws, etc. and have impact on others and the organization Work responsibilities frequently concern confidential and/or sensitive information requiring the use of discretion at all times Job duties are somewhat varied, occasionally requiring conceptualizing, planning and implementing Assertive self-starter with strong decision making ability Ability to work in a multi-task, high pressure environment Ability to travel as required Personable and excellent customer service skills are essential Strong follow-up and completion skills Highly organized, detail-oriented and time management skills essential Under general direction, examines moderately complex information and/or situations and prepares summary, solves problems for self, complex problems are referred to supervisor Has no supervisory responsibility, provides basic work direction usually one-on-one Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing, related field, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years experience in retail, sales, or related field. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50,000 - $90,000. Ranges are based on various factors such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
