Equipment Operator

Position Title: Equipment Operator Employer: Reworld (formerly Covanta) Position Overview The Equipment Operator will safely and efficiently process inbound materials and refuse through Covanta’s industrial disposal process. Responsibilities Receive and process inbound materials, operating equipment such as forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll‑off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and hand tools. Weigh, unpack, and label containers. Operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor. Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Covanta facilities. Perform exterior site maintenance and improvement including litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention. Assume traffic control responsibilities for incoming/outgoing traffic. Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs. Complete additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment. Ability to work a rotating shift schedule. Pay Transparency The pay range for the primary location of this position is $56,900.00 - $75,700.00 USD.
