Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with older adults, addressing their specific mental health needs and concerns. This includes understanding the diverse psychological challenges faced by geriatric patients, such as significant life transitions, chronic illnesses, and cognitive decline. Your empathetic and patient-centered approach will be crucial in building trust and rapport with this demographic, ensuring they receive dignified and respectful care as they navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in the state of Kansas.
  • \n
  • Proficient in the delivery of evidence-based interventions for geriatric mental health disorders.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • \n
  • Ability to navigate and efficiently use telehealth technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting is preferred.
