Provider Quality and Resource Manager

Description The Provider Quality and Resource Manager coordinates and directs the delivery of services for Cardiology providers by facilitating the direction of human and physical resources and adjusting the daily operations to meet the changing needs/ environment. This position identifies problem areas, analyzes the situation and develops and implements process improvements. The Provider Quality and Resource Manager maintains staffing for the cardiology extenders and develops a highly skilled team through education, evaluation, and consistent feedback. This position helps establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effective practice for all clinical needs with extenders and physicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages the cardiology extenders in cooperation with their supervising physician and the practice Medical Director. Manages the Billing Tool Coordinator to coordinate the Extender resource to assist the physician in performing daily rounds, patient care, and discharges. Coordinates provider schedules to achieve optimal coverage for the various settings served. Covers clinics where deemed necessary for planned and unplanned vacancies. Work collaboratively with other Cardiology managers and supervisors on shared projects. Coordinates the Extender resource to monitor patients during cardiac stress testing and MRI (for device patients). Works to research, plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate meeting MU goals and objectives. Serves as liaison to Hospital providers for EHR documentation in both the practice and hospital settings. Ensures positive customer relations interactions. Works with physician and Office Scheduling supervisor to set patient volumes for clinics where physicians do not receive extender assistance. Coordinates new provider clinical orientation. Works collaboratively with the Credentialing office to assure compliance with provider credentialing. Qualifications Current unrestricted RN license in the state(s) of practice location. Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least three years of experience in a Cardiology office/Critical Care Unit/Cath Lab, or Associate of Science in Nursing with at least five years of experience in a cardiology office/Critical Care Unit/Cath Lab.
