Role Description The Senior Electrical Estimator is a full-time, on-site role located in Frederick, CO. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial electrical projects, including reviewing plans and specifications, performing takeoffs, and determining labor, material, and equipment requirements. The Senior Electrical Estimator collaborates closely with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to clarify scope, identify value-engineering options, and ensure bids are complete and competitive. Daily responsibilities include analyzing proposals, maintaining estimating templates and pricing databases, participating in bid reviews, and supporting contract negotiation and project handoff. The role also involves mentoring junior estimators, helping refine estimating processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical estimating skills, including blueprint reading, quantity takeoffs, and cost analysis for residential and commercial projects.
• Hands-on experience in electrical contracting with solid knowledge of wiring methods, installations, and typical project workflows.
• Proficiency with estimating and project management software, as well as standard office tools (spreadsheets, word processing, and collaboration platforms).
• Understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and permitting requirements relevant to Colorado and local jurisdictions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with field teams, office staff, vendors, and clients.
