Project Manager I - Structural Engineer Buildings

Looking for a Project Manager I – Engineering to oversee strategic and mini‑mega projects ( Responsibilities Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts per HNTB’s Sophisticated Contracting Approach. Serve as primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets. Assist with client project scoping and contract negotiations. Perform technical discipline tasks, including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects. Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using the Sophisticated Delivery Approach. Lead development and execution of the project management plan; supervise and mentor team to meet overall objectives. Coordinate with managers on project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, succession planning, and performance reviews. Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to support business development and client relationship building. Prepare proposal and presentation materials; lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic and mini‑mega projects. May be responsible for recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff, including performance and compensation reviews. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 8 years of relevant experience. 2 years of task management or Deputy Project Manager experience. Preferred Master’s degree in Structural, Architectural, or Civil Engineering. 10 years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) license. Experience with structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP 2000, ADAPT, SAFE, RISA, etc. Familiarity with Revit, Autodesk, and Bluebeam. Experience with Office Management Team and HNTB sophisticated processes. Location Los Angeles, CA (Figueroa Street). Visa sponsorship available for this position. Compensation Estimated pay range for Los Angeles: $145,993.46 – $228,348.77. National range: $126,950.84 – $248,205.18. Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, and location.
