Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to Labor & Delivery patients as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Perform circulating duties within the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Provide high-risk obstetric care in a high-volume, high-acuity delivery environment.
• Float to Post-Partum unit approximately 1–2 shifts per week as needed.
• Utilize EPIC (including EPIC STORK) for electronic medical record documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience, with experience reflected within the past 24 months.
• Circulating experience required.
• High-risk obstetric experience required.
• Experience at a high-volume delivery center (200–300 deliveries/month) within the previous year required.
• High-acuity experience required.
• Active Iowa RN license (verified through Nursys at time of submission) required.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Current ACLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Labor & Delivery / L&D-specific Skills Checklist required.
• Taxable address must be more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience preferred.
• Multiple travel contracts completed preferred.
• EPIC STORK experience preferred.
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred.
