Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and respond to changes in condition; manage standard therapies
- Supervise and delegate tasks to other nursing staff as appropriate; coordinate care with physicians and support services
- Provide education to patients and families; participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Document care accurately in the patient record; maintain a safe, healing environment and comply with infection prevention standards

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- BSN preferred
- At least two years of recent experience in Med Surg or acute care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and to perform night-shift duties
