Data Engineer - Palantir Foundry```

Salary: $100,000 - 175,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 4 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering.
• We look for hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade pipelines, data connections, and ontologies in Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology Manager, Data Lineage, and Workshop.
• We need strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with familiarity in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with traditional lakehouse tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, or dbt is important.
• We expect familiarity with Foundry Data Connection architecture, including configuring sources and synchronizations from external systems.
• We prefer proven delivery experience in DoD or federal environments.
• We value familiarity with Navy, DON, or DoD logistics, financial, or personnel data landscapes.
• We need strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Palantir Foundry Data Engineer or Application Developer certification is preferred.
• You must be eligible to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, is required.

• We will lead data engineering and analytics initiatives within the Palantir Foundry platform.
• We will design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines from raw ingestion through staging to curated, production-ready datasets.
• We will integrate external source systems into Foundry and unify data across logistics, personnel, and financial domains.
• We will design and extend ontology object types, properties, and links to reflect real mission processes and support downstream workflows.
• We will enforce automation, version control, orchestration, and health monitoring to keep data flows secure, repeatable, and auditable.
• We will define and uphold data architecture standards for distributed environments across Foundry and adjacent platforms.
• We will develop scalable, rule-based data quality checks to measure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness, and create remediation feedback loops.
• We will use Data Lineage to trace dataset provenance and support discovery, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
• We will tune pipeline schedules, workloads, and resource usage to deliver reliable, cost-efficient performance.
• We will monitor latency issues and pipeline failures against service-level agreements.
• We will partner with analysts, product leads, and mission stakeholders to turn requirements into clear, well-documented data products.
• We will mentor junior engineers and help establish Foundry engineering standards for naming, object design, testing, and change management.
• We may travel up to 10% for environment cutovers, stakeholder design sessions, and validation or test events.
