If you have strong critical care experience and enjoy caring for complex post-operative cardiac patients, this Cardiovascular ICU RN job offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your skills can make a real impact every day.Job Details\n \n Specialty: CVICU / Cardiothoracic Surgical ICU\n Assignment Type: Travel RN\n Location: Springfield, Ohio\n Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week\n Hours Per Week: 36\n Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010\n Start Date: 09/21/2026\n End Date: 12/21/2026\n Unit Environment: High-acuity CVICU with a collaborative critical care team\n Job Requirements\n \n Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility\n Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU nursing experience required\n Current experience recovering immediate post-op CABG and TAVR patients required\n Current experience managing Swan catheters required\n Experience charting in EPIC required\n EKG exam required\n Ability to care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients\n Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills\n Basic Life Support (BLS) and advanced cardiac support knowledge preferred\n Travel nurse flexibility and willingness to work day shifts, every other weekend, and holidays as needed\n Responsibilities\n \n Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical patients in a high-acuity ICU setting\n Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans\n Manage hemodynamic monitoring and interpret patient data to support timely interventions\n Care for patients with ventilators, critical drips, Swan-Ganz catheters, and other advanced life-support therapies\n Support recovery for fresh post-op CABG and TAVR patients\n Assist with advanced devices and therapies such as Impella, VAD, IABP, and CRRT when needed\n Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC\n Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary critical care team\n Promote patient safety, quality care, and compassionate support for patients and families\n Respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions in a fast-paced cardiovascular ICU\n \n Apply now for this rewarding CVICU travel RN job in Springfield, Ohio and join a healthcare team that values your critical care expertise.
