Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. * Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives. * Conducts initial patient assessments within expected timeframes, initiate consults as indicated, and identify patient/family teaching and discharge planning needs. * Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with all regulatory standards.
