Machinist I - Day Shift

This role focuses on operating machinery and maintaining quality throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Set up and operate GM Fanuc Robots, machine centers, lathes, induction hardening units, direct hardening units, and grinders. Calibrate precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, lasers, height gauges, dial indicators, and specialty gauges. Read and interpret blueprints, relate dimensioning to CNC machine programs, and verify part dimensional quality against prints. Write and understand programming code for equipment and robotic cell recipes to extend tooling life. Perform quality checks following a control‑points plan to ensure product meets customer specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve problems that arise during machine setup and operation. Qualifications 1 year of manufacturing experience. 1 year of machining experience. 1 year of CNC experience. Intermediate proficiency in blueprint reading. Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. Basic background in mathematics and an understanding of basic trigonometry. Strong knowledge of CNC operations for horizontal machining centers, CNC turning centers, saws, and robotics. Compensation Starting pay rate: $20.90 per hour. Maximum potential hourly rate: $27.10. Day shift: Monday‑Thursday, 06:00 – 16:00. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Benefits Day‑one medical, dental, vision, and RX coverage. 6% 401(k) match.
