Job Description:
- Performs measurements on calibration instruments that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as pressure, temperature, time, rotational motion, flow, electric current, voltage, resistance, and derived units of physical or chemical measures.
- Must have analytical skills to identify sources of measurement error, read and interpret technical specifications and calibration procedures, and take and follow instruction from tenured metrologist and complete tasks as directed.
- Prepares calibration reports containing methods, measured data, measurement uncertainties, and NIST trace abilities.
- Uses assigned calibration standards and procedures.
