About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in NICU License: Must possess a valid state license Certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT required Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience; cardiac PICU experience preferred Description: This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity pediatric environment. Candidates must be competent in caring for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential. The role requires flexibility to work in various units within the organization. Experience with the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A is necessary. Responsibilities include performing aerosol setups, managing tracheostomy care, and assisting in intubation. Candidates must work every other weekend and every other holiday, including two out of three winter holidays. Self-scheduling is utilized, with the manager available to explain the model during the interview. Preferred candidates will have experience in complex congenital heart programs and the management of pediatric respiratory conditions. This role is suited for individuals passionate about providing care to neonates, infants, and pediatric patients.
