About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - NICU Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in NICU License: Must have a valid state license Certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT required. PALS preferred. Must-Have: Level 4 NICU experience. Cardiac PICU experience preferred. Description: The position requires caring for patients in the NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential. The therapist will work in all units and must be comfortable in a multidisciplinary team setting. Candidates should be competent in aerosol setups, bag and mask ventilation, and various respiratory therapies. Experience with high-frequency oscillators, nitric oxide therapy, and intubation assistance is beneficial. Familiarity with pediatric respiratory conditions such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia and respiratory distress syndrome is required. The therapist will be involved in neonatal transports and tracheostomy care. A self-scheduling model will be in place, but specific schedules cannot be guaranteed. Floating within the scope of practice may be required. Weekend and holiday shifts will be expected as part of the role. Travelers must comply with facility policies regarding floating and mileage restrictions. Candidates may submit with a pending state license, provided they can obtain a temporary license prior to starting.
