Portuguese-English Language Data Annotator

Role Overview

Apply your Portuguese language expertise to create accurate, high-quality data that supports AI and machine learning projects. In this remote contract role, you will help refine language resources, evaluate linguistic quality, and contribute insight into Brazilian Portuguese usage and regional nuance.

Key Responsibilities

Annotate, label, and review Portuguese-language data for AI and machine learning applications.
Maintain linguistic accuracy and consistency throughout data annotation and curation work.
Work with cross-functional teams to follow language standards and project guidelines.
Provide feedback on language use, translations, and data quality.
Document annotation processes and recommend workflow improvements.
Share insights and best practices on language nuances during team discussions.
Help develop language resources tailored to project needs.

Qualifications

Native or near-native Portuguese proficiency and fluency in English.
Experience with data annotation and language-data processing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
Solid knowledge of Portuguese grammar, syntax, and regional variations.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and solve problems in a remote setting.
Commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience collaborating with multicultural, distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in linguistics, language studies, or a related field.
Experience supporting AI or localization projects.
Familiarity with annotation tools and platforms.

Work Terms

Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

$30 to $65 per hour.
