Portuguese Linguist for AI Training (Brazil)

Help shape high-quality Portuguese language data for AI and machine learning projects from a remote setting. This contract role applies bilingual fluency and linguistic expertise to annotation, review, and language-resource development. Key Responsibilities

• Annotate, label, and review Portuguese-language data for AI and machine learning applications.
• Maintain linguistic accuracy and consistency across annotation and data-curation work.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on language standards and project guidelines.
• Provide expert feedback on language usage, translations, and data quality.
• Document annotation processes and recommend workflow improvements.
• Share insights and best practices on Portuguese language nuances in team discussions.
• Help develop language resources tailored to project needs.

• Native or near-native Portuguese proficiency and fluent English.
• Experience with data annotation and language-data processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
• Solid knowledge of Portuguese grammar, syntax, and regional variations.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines remotely, and collaborate with multicultural, distributed teams.
• Background in linguistics, language studies, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience supporting AI or localization projects and familiarity with annotation tools or platforms are preferred.

• Remote contract engagement.

• $30 to $65 per hour.
