Building Maintenance/Engineer Lead

Job Title

This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment. They are responsible for all technical and non-technical buildings and grounds repairs. Troubleshooting and/or repairs of all electrically ran motors and devices. Troubleshooting and/or repair of all H.V.A.C systems including, refrigeration devices, minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor automotive repairs. Completion of all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Essential Functions

Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.

Leave all work in a safe and clean condition

Use of all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors

Gas fired equipment repair

Troubleshooting and/or repair of electronic equipment to include all office and audio visual equipment

Respond to all Guest Requests within fifteen-minutes of notification

Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system

Respond to all emergency or life threatening situations

Follow established safety procedures

Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs

Duties include emergency on call status

Qualifications

Required

Minimum of 2-3 years experience as an Engineer / Maintenance Technician, preferably within a hotel or property management environment

Hands on experience with electrical motors, H.V.A.C. systems, and refrigeration systems. Must be familiar with troubleshooting and/or repairs of such.

Experience with power tools use and safety.

Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment and furniture.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Hospitality experience preferred.

Must be able to work one to two weekend day shifts

Must be able to work four 10-hour shifts per week
