Membership Sales Representative

Village Health Clubs and Spas is looking for Membership Sales Representatives to share the message of fitness and well-being to our communities. This Sales role includes a commission guarantee while you train!*** Key Responsibilities Attract and retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service Interact with employees, members, and guests in a manner aligned with the People, Places, and Programs components of the Village Standards Lead by example, consistently conveying a positive attitude, passion, and pride in work Tour potential members through the Club Manage new member orientation process, including follow‑up calls after a member joins the club Introduce members to appropriate club staff at the point of sale and arrange lessons if the assigned staff member is not available Sign up new members for fitness orientation at point of sale Close new membership sales to meet all established sales forecasts Develop and maintain a prospect lead generation and follow‑up system for corporate and individual members via walk‑ins, member referrals, club guest passes, telemarketing, and cold calling Join and attend chamber and association meetings, mixers, and public relations events to recruit new corporate and individual members Work evenings and weekends as needed Maintain a physical presence within the Village to perform assigned duties Required Qualifications Strong closing skills Ability to self‑generate leads Two years of successful sales experience Ability to produce immediate results Highly motivated and self‑driven Effective communication skills Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where continuous improvement is expected Ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook Attend New Hire Orientation and obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire through Company training Maintain a physical presence within the Village to perform assigned duties Preferred Qualifications Sales experience in a high‑end health club or hospitality industry Associate’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field Three years of successful sales experience Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, grasping, bending, and kneeling for filing. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Ability to speak loudly or quickly and to receive detailed information through written and oral communication. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, and pull objects; occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds during membership events and programs. Working Conditions Typical office or administrative work combined with member outdoor activity. Duties include extensive use of standard office equipment such as copier, computer, keyboard, telephone, and fax.
