Immediate opening for a  Shipping & Receiving Clerk in  Gardena, CA who possesses:

• 5+ years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience
• Manual picking and packing experience
• 3+ years of forklift operating experience, including sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience

FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and forklift operations in a shop or production environment. This role is responsible for filling and packing orders, placing stock in proper locations, logging inventory activity, operating forklifts, and using UPS/FedEx online systems. The ideal candidate will have strong shipping and receiving experience, manual paperwork experience, attention to detail, forklift experience, and the ability to work with carbon and steel products such as reducers, threaded pipe, cone valves, and related parts.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Filling and packing orders ranging from smaller to larger metal items
• Picking and packing products manually
• Placing stock in the proper location
• Logging stock pulls and inventory movement accurately
• Supporting inventory control activities
• Operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts
• Operating shipping and packing equipment as needed
• Using UPS, FedEx, and related online shipping systems
• Working with manual paperwork and shipping documentation
• Maintaining accuracy when handling orders, inventory, and shipping details
• Working with carbon and steel products, including reducers, threaded pipe, cone valves, and related parts
• Maintaining an organized warehouse and shipping area
• Communicating with team members and departments as needed
• Following safety procedures while working in the warehouse and production environment
• Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

• 5+ years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience required
• Manual picking and packing experience required
• 3+ years of forklift operating experience required
• Sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience required
• Shop, warehouse, or production environment experience preferred
• Experience working with metal, carbon, steel, pipe, valves, or related parts preferred
• UPS, FedEx, or online shipping system experience preferred
• Inventory control experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with manual paperwork and documentation
• Ability to speak, read, and write English well
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Dependable and team-oriented work habits
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work onsite in Gardena, CA

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch, push, pull, lift, carry, and move throughout warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production areas as needed
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds as needed
• Ability to manually pick, pack, fill, and move orders containing small to large metal items
• Ability to operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts as needed
• Ability to work with carbon and steel products, including reducers, threaded pipe, cone valves, and related parts
• Ability to use hands and fingers for handling parts, packing materials, paperwork, shipping labels, data entry, and standard warehouse tasks
• Ability to review shipping paperwork, inventory records, labels, orders, and computer screens as needed
• Ability to work in a shop, warehouse, or production environment while following applicable safety procedures
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed

Salary Range: $22 to $26/hour
