RN Supervisor (Part-Time Night Shift)

Facility: Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: Part-Time | Night Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM Pay Rate: $55/hour

Atrium Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during the overnight shift. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards in a fast-paced rehabilitation and skilled nursing environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with excellent communication skills, supervisory experience, and a commitment to resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing and Associate Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, implementing, and directing the daily operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations.
• Ensure nursing staff are performing duties in accordance with established job descriptions, policies, and professional standards.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies as requested by leadership.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and updating resident discharge plans and nursing assessments.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage is maintained throughout the shift to support quality resident care.
• Conduct daily rounds to monitor nursing services, staff performance, and resident care practices.
• Investigate and address staff complaints or grievances and report findings to nursing leadership as needed.
• Welcome newly admitted residents and assist with the admission process when necessary.
• Make rounds with physicians and interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
• Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide direct nursing care and clinical support as needed.
• Participate in annual evaluations for LPNs and CNAs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must possess a current and active RN license in the State of New York.
• License must be in good standing and free of disciplinary action.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or related healthcare setting preferred.
• Must have at least six (6) months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and clinical assessment skills required.
• Experience with electronic medical records and healthcare software preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Experience with Sigma and ShowdMe systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage overnight nursing operations.
