Surg Tech CVOR - Travel Job

Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Indianapolis, IN. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during procedures. You will ensure patient safety by preparing the OR, sterilizing and arranging equipment, and providing direct support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment.
• Experience supporting cardiac surgical cases and familiarity with cardiovascular instrumentation and supplies.
• Willingness to work assigned call schedule including night and weekend call requirements as outlined by the facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with advanced cardiac cases in a high-volume hospital setting.
• Certification in advanced cardiac or surgical specialties preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0600-1630.
• Schedule format: 4x10 hour shifts possible; case schedule may require alternate start times such as 0800-1830.
• On-call requirements: approximately 1 night call per week and 1 weekend call per month (starts Friday evening through 0600 Monday).
• Facility does not perform transplants.
