Certified Medical Assistant

Overview Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Rowlett, TX . This is a 3+ month contract assignment and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization. Specific Duties Performs all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice. Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary, and performs EKGs. Performs quality control checks on equipment. Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares the patient for examination. Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies. Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect. Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms. Practices standard infection control precautions. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of preferred experience. Certified Medical Assistant High school diploma or equivalent BLS Certification Nice-to-have Experience in family practice.
