Merchandising Lead

Position Summary Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; guide and support members regarding self‑service technology; assist members with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; resolve member issues and concerns; promote the company’s products and services. Responsibilities Assist management with supervising associates in the assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, and providing direction and guidance on member service approaches and techniques. Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and completing required documentation. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations. Ensure the sales floor and merchandise presentation complies with company policies by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, stocking, arranging and organizing merchandise, setting up displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed. Oversee the picking and staging of club pick‑up orders throughout the day, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; analyze information from multiple sources, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Demonstrate and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes; assist management in correcting ethical and compliance issues using the Open Door Policy. Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; determine customer needs and business priorities; coordinate and execute work assignments; provide advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and quality are achieved; model and help others adapt to change. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months of retail experience AND 6 months of customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a team; supervising, hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others. The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00*. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
