Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Title: Staff Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

11p-7a Part-Time

Summary

Sligo Creek Healthcare is looking for a licensed practical nurse to join our growing nursing home staff and provide residents with daily care and support. Our ideal candidate has nursing home experience, is a keen observer and good communicator, and can bring a friendly and compassionate attitude to the job. Duties

• Observe and manage resident patient health according to individual needs. Provide routine care, ensure comfort, and report any changes in resident health and behavior.
• Collect, track, maintain, and review patient medical history, charts, and physical condition, including heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
• Assist registered nurses and physicians in their duties.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, feeding, transportation, and movement.
• Administer medications and injections, provide wound care, perform standard diagnostic procedures, and collect and prepare specimens.
• Keep resident patient information confidential, follow all policies and procedures, and adhere to federal, state, local requirements, and professional standards.
• Maintain licensure and take ownership of professional development through educational opportunities.

Requirements

• Completion of state-approved LPN education program and current state LPN license or compact license.
• BLS and CPR certifications
• 1-2 years recent nursing home experience preferred, but not required.
• Proficient computer skills, especially with data entry
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift patients and medical equipment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills

• Knowledge of Point, Click, Care.
