We are seeking an ambitious Outside Sales Representative to develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and drive revenue growth within the Building Materials industry.

Key Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will:

• Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with new and existing customers.
• Generate new business opportunities to increase market share and company profitability.
• Consult with customers and contractors to identify product needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and communicate pricing, quotations, delivery schedules, and service commitments.
• Estimate material quantities from customer and contractor blueprints.
• Provide exceptional customer service by resolving concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Manage and service existing accounts while identifying opportunities for additional sales.
• Assist with accounts receivable collections when necessary.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and company offerings through ongoing training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess:

Previous sales experience, preferably within the Building Materials, Construction, or related industry.

Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.

The ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

The ability to learn and effectively utilize company-specific software systems.

Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate percentages, commissions, discounts, and estimates.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Flexibility to work a schedule that may include occasional weekends.

A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Work will be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use hands for various tasks.
• Occasionally lift and/or move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
