Senior Proposal Manager

About the Role This is a content- and narrative-first role. You\'ll manage the full bid lifecycle, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, from intake to submission: routing responses, tracking deadlines, and keeping stakeholders aligned. But the heart of the job is the content itself, sharpening executive summaries and proposal narratives, making sure every response clearly and compellingly answers what the customer is asking, and building original content rather than just assembling inputs. Key Responsibilities Manage the bid process end to end: route RFP/RFQ/RFI responses, track deadlines, and keep every stakeholder in the loop so responses go out on time. Own the content: review and elevate executive summaries, commercial narratives, and proposal responses so they are clean, crisp, and clearly answer the customer\'s requirements. Build and integrate original content with support from subject-matter experts, rather than simply compiling what others provide. Build and maintain a reusable content library; create new content as services expand. Reduce lag time and communication gaps across safety, quality, engineering, operations, and business development contributors. Confirm content supports the intended value proposition and differentiation, and push back constructively when it doesn\'t. Present to and align executive leadership on escalations and decisions when needed. Maintain version control, compliance, and audit-ready files; run post-submission reviews and lessons-learned. Required Qualifications 3 to 7 years in proposal management, bid/proposal writing, RFP/RFQ/RFI response, or capture management, with hands-on ownership of proposal content (not solely coordination of others\' inputs). Excellent writing and editing skills; able to turn technical and commercial input into clear, persuasive, customer-focused proposal narratives and executive summaries. Strong editorial judgment, able to read a draft and identify whether it truly answers the question, and how to sharpen it. Proven ability to manage a high volume of concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Confidence to coordinate and challenge multiple stakeholders, including senior leaders, and hold the line on quality and alignment. Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms. Preferred Qualifications APMP certification or equivalent proposal-management training. Experience in utility services, infrastructure, engineering, or construction-related industries. Experience with SharePoint, proposal automation tools, or content/knowledge-management systems.
