OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:Receives supplies for the departmentMaintains store roomsMaintains service areas and stairwells for cleanlinessKeeps supply closets stockedKeep manager or supervisor notified when supplies are lowContinually promotes positive communication and respect with other departmentsCleanliness of carpetsStrip vacant dirty roomsQUALIFICATIONS/PRE-REQUISITES:Willing to work weekends and holidays.Must be a self starter and able to work with minimum supervision.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Maintain a safe and clean work area.Must have a working knowledge of all cleaning equipmentNotify manager of malfunctioning equipmentPRIMARY DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS:Keep hallways clean at all timesKeep closets clean and stockedKeep service landings clean, organized and free of trashDump dirty linen down laundry chuteTake down housekeeper’s trash at end of dayClean employee restrooms dailyClean carpets in rooms/hallways and public areasClean service elevatorsClean guest landingsClean stairwellsResponsible for any or all cleaning projects assigned to himDo guest requestsAnswer phone in a professional mannerOccasionally off-load vender trucks of Housekeeping supplies only.Pickup all dirty glasses and take to dishwasher at the end of shift.Other duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE LIFTING AND PUSHING):Ability to bend stoop and lift for extended periods of time.Able to stand or be on feet 100% of the time.Able to lift 50 pounds 10% of the timeEQUIPMENT USED:Vacuum cleanersCarpet cleanerAny equipment that might be used for this positionEDUCATION REQUIRED:No formal education is needed.Ability to read operating instructions on equipment used in department.Ability to speak in language understood by guests and co-workers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Marriott-International
