Functional Specialist/Advisor (7+ Years’ Experience) Required: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a polygraph level clearance after hiring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within a related field Demonstrated experience in researching NGA, DOD, or IC disclosure and release policies, DLA catalogs, geospatial production coordination and geospatial product customization. Demonstrated experience with ensuring an agency’s Content and Standard Products are properly identified prior to release. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with the applicable offices for the proper expurgation, redaction and customization of content for dissemination to a foreign partner. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with Disclosures and Release of information and adjudication of process requests. Specifically, the Basic Exchange Cooperation Agreements (BECA) and the Disclosure Release process and capabilities available. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with the applicable offices for release of foreign produced products on requests related to commodity data and finished products. Demonstrated experience drafting responses for the Government to foreign partner requests for geospatial products and Foundation GEOINT content. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or in a related discipline. 6+ years of experience in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community. 12+ years of experience in government or industry supporting: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBE Process or Systems engineering for large, complex System of Systems or Service‑Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and SAFe development. 6+ years of experience working with Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) standards. Experience working with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies. Desired Qualifications: Advanced Education and Certifications: Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field Software Development Framework certification Technical Expertise and Tools: Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), tools and languages Experience in engineering solutions with: Cloud‑based technologies Big Data (structured/unstructured) Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence Expertise in geospatial intelligence and related disciplines Location: Springfield, VA Salary: Competitive Compensation Package Functional Specialist/Advisor (Senior Level 12‑18 Years’ Experience) Overall Assignment Description: Provides expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to the client and/or project team based on specialized in‑depth expertise in such fields as engineering and technology; policy and administration; planning; analysis; training and development; facilities; communications; visual design; human capital; business; and management. Ensures that quality is an integral part of the development, design and manufacture of products or services. Monitors requirements through test and measurement activities; manages or leads quality assurance activities. Duties include: Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current processes. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and operational needs to determine mission requirements. Consult with customers about commercial software solutions, operational planning, and maintenance. Confer with data processing and project managers to obtain information on limitations and capabilities for data reporting and metrics. Prepare reports and correspondence concerning project specifications and activities. Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for operational restrictions to determine mission health. Skills and Experience: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Image Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or other related degree program. Bachelor’s in Business Administration will be accepted on a case‑by‑case basis. Demonstrated experience providing guidance and direction in high technology.
