Job Description
The Restaurant Host Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring efficient seating and reservation management. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, organization, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously to enhance the overall dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Coordinate seating to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Manage reservation systems and maintain accurate records
- Provide exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries
- Present menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions
- Engage with customers to ensure a positive dining experience
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Communicate effectively with restaurant staff regarding guest needs and seating availability
- Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations
Required Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Proficient multitasking
- Conflict resolution skills
- Experience with POS systems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Time management expertise
- Ability to work well in a team environment
