Associate Employment Attorney

A nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Employment Litigation practice in New York City. The firm represents employees, executives, and whistleblowers in high-stakes matters involving workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour violations, and other complex employment disputes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for employee rights and wants to gain hands-on experience handling sophisticated litigation alongside some of the leading practitioners in the field.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support all phases of employment litigation from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
• Participate in fact investigations and witness interviews.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and attend mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Work directly with clients on case strategy and case development.
• Assist with complex individual and multi-plaintiff employment matters.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on high-profile and impactful cases.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law, civil rights, commercial litigation, or complex civil litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Experience drafting substantive motions and conducting discovery.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual salary for this position is between $180K-$300K annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
