Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with inpatient hospital experience to join the pharmacy team at Providence St. Peter Hospital . The ideal candidate will hold an active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License and CPHT certification , with the ability to support medication preparation, dispensing, and pharmacy operations in an acute care hospital setting.

Schedule

• Shift: Mid Shift
• Hours: 5 x 8-hour shifts
• Time: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Block Scheduling: Not Available
• On-Call: Not Required

Minimum Requirements

• Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
• CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) Certification (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience is not required

• Medication dispensing systems (Pyxis preferred)
• Professional pharmacy operations and procedures
• Order entry process
• Labeling requirements
• Packaging requirements
• Sterile and non-sterile compounding
• IV admixture preparation
• Chemotherapy preparation
• Aseptic technique

Preferred Experience

Experience caring for patients across all age groups, including:

• Neonates
• Infants
• Pediatrics
• Adolescents
• Adults
• Geriatrics

Work Environment

• Inpatient Acute Care Hospital
• Medication dispensing using Pyxis
• Acute care pharmacy supporting a 325+ bed hospital

Important Notes

• Local candidates are not eligible. Applicants with a permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility do not qualify for this travel assignment.
• One pre-approved RTO request is allowed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Pharmacy Technician looking to expand their inpatient acute care experience in a well-established hospital using the Epic electronic medical record system.
