Sr Data Analyst

Job Title

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Conduct data mining, inference, regression analyses and other quantitative analysis using industry standard statistical and business analytics techniques to drive prioritization of inventory accuracy initiatives, as well as to identify new areas of opportunity
• With the goal of identifying new areas of opportunity, run and interpret small scale experiments, create dashboards, draw causal inferences, and generate recommendations from modeling and measurement
• Perform data modeling using/modifying existing models
• Partner across departments or business groups to obtain information, align priorities, and obtain buy-in from stakeholders and functional owners.
• Flag opportunities and challenges using data in the current processes and metrics to ensure proactive response and help business course correct or seize opportunities.
• Develop exception reporting and feedback loop for various segments to learn and shape operating models.
• Assist with the creation of Status Reports, Executive Dashboards, and Business Insights
• Assist with development of a Catalog ecosystem, ensuring alignment from strategic objectives to feature KPIs
• Assist with executive and strategy decks to help guide the team with storytelling
• Support business analysis for inventory accuracy initiatives within the Catalog team
• Work with management and/or internal stakeholders to define business requirements and analytical needs and execute against them.
• Develop a deep understanding of existing inventory accuracy, and related customer, operations, and productivity metrics, and develop new KPI’s, metrics, and measures to identify areas of opportunity to improve inventory accuracy
• Own regular and ad-hoc analysis on inventory accuracy and other operational performance and projects to continuously improve and scale Albertson’s eCommerce operations
• Understand and communicate root causes of impacts to performance and attainment of business objectives
• Develop actionable insights and areas of opportunity for eCommerce operational performance, make recommendations to operating teams, and present findings to business stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Professional experience
• Proven track record in a business/data analytical role delivering data-driven insights to inform strategic decision making
• Advanced knowledge and experience with data science analytical tools, e.g. R, Python, and advanced level Excel
• High degree of experience developing advanced SQL queries (Combination of Snowflake, Teradata, preferred) such as strong familiarity with aggregate functions, all types of join etc.
