Sapphire Center for Rehabilitation of Central Queens is seeking a full time Dietary Supervisor . The Dietary Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Food Service Director in the creation of high quality meals and the delivering of a meaningful dining experience for clients in our long term skilled nursing facility. 

Responsibilities include:

·         Overseeing and assisting the Food Service Staff with meal preparation based on established menus, regulations, policies, procedures and best practices.

• Regularly soliciting client feedback and incorporating solutions regarding the quality and satisfaction of meals served.

• Assist with menu planning.

• Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures.

• Assist with cleaning of equipment and work areas.

• Participate in resident care conferences as assigned.

• Assists cook with the production of meals for service, as required.

• Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events.

• Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies.

• Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment.

Qualifications:

·   Must possess, as a minimum a high school or equivalent education.

·    One (1) year food service experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting.

·    Knowledge of state and federal food-handling and kitchen regulations (Serve Safe Certification). Must possess knowledge of food service operations.

·   Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
