Outside Sales Associate - Geosynthetics, Erosion Control & Stormwater

Position Overview GeoProducts is seeking a driven Outside Sales Associate – Geosynthetics, Erosion Control & Stormwater to help expand our customer base, deepen existing relationships, and support the next phase of our growth. This is a field-based sales role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, walking jobsites, quoting work, solving problems, and building long-term relationships. The strongest candidates know this market well and have built credibility with the contractors, estimators, project managers, municipalities, engineers, developers, and vendors who drive infrastructure work in their territory. We’re looking for someone who can use their market knowledge, relationship skills, and follow-through to build a thriving territory on top of a respected brand and a responsive operation. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in construction supply, civil infrastructure, waterworks, erosion control, geosynthetics, stormwater, industrial distribution, or building materials who wants more ownership, faster growth, and a direct impact on the success of the business. Responsibilities Develop and grow relationships with sitework contractors, utility contractors, general contractors, developers, engineers, municipalities, DOT-related customers, solar contractors, and other infrastructure customers. Build new relationships and deepen existing ones across the assigned territory. Identify new sales opportunities through customer visits, jobsite visits, pre-bid meetings, plan rooms, project tracking, referrals, market research, and industry relationships. Quote and sell geosynthetics, erosion control products, stormwater materials, drainage products, HDPE pipe, silt fence, inlet protection, fabrics, grids, stakes, straw, jobsite supplies, and related construction materials. Work closely with customers to understand project requirements, specifications, timelines, delivery needs, pricing expectations, and budget constraints. Provide jobsite support, product guidance, installation support, and general technical assistance when needed. Partner with inside sales, branch operations, warehouse, drivers, and vendors to ensure orders are quoted, processed, delivered, and followed up on properly. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of active bids, awarded jobs, upcoming opportunities, and key customer targets. Use CRM and internal systems to track customer activity, bids, quotes, follow-ups, projects, and sales opportunities. Monitor market pricing, competitor activity, product trends, customer needs, vendor issues, and local construction activity. Collaborate with leadership on sales strategy, target accounts, territory development, pricing, vendor relationships, and new product opportunities. Represent GeoProducts professionally at jobsites, customer offices, industry events, trade shows, lunch-and-learns, and networking opportunities. Meet or exceed sales, gross margin, customer development, and activity goals. Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: 2–5+ years of outside sales, inside sales, project coordination, estimating, account management, or business development experience in construction supply, civil infrastructure, waterworks, stormwater, erosion control, geosynthetics, industrial distribution, or building materials. Familiarity with the civil, sitework, utility, stormwater, erosion control, infrastructure, or construction supply market, with the ability to develop trusted relationships over time. Experience selling to or working with contractors, sitework companies, municipalities, developers, engineers, utility contractors, DOT-related customers, or project managers. Knowledge of geosynthetics, erosion control, stormwater, drainage, pipe, fabric, silt fence, inlet protection, or related site construction products is a major plus. Ability to open conversations, build trust, and follow up consistently to earn new business. Strong relationship-building skills and comfort calling on customers in the field. Ability to read project information, understand basic specifications, manage quotes, and follow projects from bid through delivery. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities without heavy oversight. Competitive mindset with a strong desire to win business, grow income, and build long-term customer relationships. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, CRM tools, quoting systems, and basic sales reporting. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory for customer meetings, jobsite visits, and sales calls. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Wants to help build something rather than simply manage a static territory. Compensation This is a base salary plus commission / bonus role with uncapped upside. The structure will be built around the experience, product knowledge, territory-building ability, and relationship skills you bring — with no cap on what strong performance can earn.
