SEC Reporting Manager

We are looking for an SEC Reporting Manager to join a leading asset management firm on site 4 days a week in New York, New York on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will play a central role in the preparation and review of external financial reporting for regulated investment structures, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timely filings. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with minimal oversight.Responsibilities:• Lead the preparation and detailed review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, to ensure complete, accurate, and timely submission.• Draft and refine financial statements, footnote disclosures, and related supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP and external reporting standards.• Complete disclosure checklists, tie-out packages, and filing support documentation for periodic reporting cycles.• Partner with internal stakeholders to compile and validate reporting related to investment income, fee revenue, debt arrangements, leverage activity, and capital transactions.• Use Workiva to coordinate reporting workflows, maintain filing documentation, and support the production of high-quality external reports.• Analyze reporting requirements relevant to alternative asset management structures, including Business Development Companies and infrastructure-focused investments where applicable.• Review underlying financial data for consistency, resolve discrepancies proactively, and help strengthen the quality of external reporting deliverables.• Operate independently within a lean team structure while managing multiple deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced reporting environment.
