Human Resources Generalist (Contract)

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for skilled hourly positions (welders) and operators.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, referrals, trade schools, and networking.
• Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews or in-person interviews.
• Coordinate interviews and hiring events.
• Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain applicant tracking system records and hiring metrics.
• Develop creative recruiting strategies to meet aggressive hiring goals.

HR Generalist Support

• Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation.
• Prepare letters and onboarding documentation.
• Support employee relations matters and HR investigations as needed.
• Assist with policy interpretation and employee questions.
• Maintain employee records and HR compliance documentation.
• Partner with site leadership on various HR projects and initiatives

Required Education & Experience:

• 3+ years of HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Talent Acquisition experience
• Demonstrated success in recruiting skilled hourly or manufacturing employees.
• Experience supporting onboarding and employee relations activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, logistics, or construction industry experience
• Experience hiring welders, machinists, maintenance technicians, or other skilled trades.
• Experience supporting plant operations or multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
