Staff Management Group is seeking a HR Generalist for our client in Neptune City, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift 8:30AM - 5PM
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

• $33 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support our HR team during a maternity-leave coverage period. This role blends hands-on recruiting with day-to-day HR operations, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a manufacturing or consumer-goods environment.

You'll work closely with hiring managers, employees, and HR leadership to keep processes running smoothly and ensure a positive employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recruiting Support — Source, screen, and schedule interviews for entry-level and early-career roles.
• Candidate Coordination — Maintain applicant flow, track progress, and ensure timely communication.
• HR Operations — Assist with general HR inquiries and daily administrative needs.
• Personnel File Management — Maintain accurate and compliant employee records.
• Documentation & Compliance — Support onboarding, offboarding, and required employment documentation.
• HRIS / ATS Support — Assist with data entry and updates in systems such as Dayforce, HireRight, or JobVite.
• Cross-Team Collaboration — Partner with internal teams to support HR initiatives and maintain smooth operations.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing or consumer-goods environments strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in recruiting, HR coordination, or HR generalist work.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or payroll platforms (Dayforce, HireRight, JobVite) is helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, resourceful, and eager-to-learn mindset.
