Physical Therapist Assistant DutiesPerform Physical Therapist Assistant duties using advanced practical knowledge of physical therapy.Carry out daily treatment tasks independently within general supervisory guidelines.Deliver physical therapy-guided care for patients with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.Use prescribed modalities such as diathermy, hydrotherapy, massage, electro-therapy, ultrasound, and therapeutic exercise.Teach patients and families how to follow home programs, observe precautions, and use therapy modalities safely.Complete data collection for workload, research, and statistical reporting.Maintain proficiency by studying new techniques, literature, and research.
