Culinary Supervisor

The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Culinary Supervisor to support the daily kitchen operations at Viola & Dot’s, our vibrant Italian inspired kitchen. As Culinary Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining food quality, safety, and service flow while supporting the Sr. Multi-Unit Outlet Chef & Multi-Unit Outlet Chef in overseeing a small, efficient kitchen environment. This is a hands‑on leadership position that blends culinary execution with team coordination, ideal for individuals seeking a stable, growth‑oriented opportunity in a dynamic and unique kitchen setting. Primary Responsibilities Lead daily food preparation and service, ensuring consistency in quality, portioning, and presentation. Support kitchen operation during shifts, maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow. Train team members on proper food handling, equipment use, and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment in accordance with health and safety standards. Assist with scheduling and shift coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely and accurate order execution. Support the execution of seasonal menu items, specials, and promotional offerings. Foster a positive kitchen culture built on teamwork, accountability, and pride in product. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is a strong plus and highly valued in this role. Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Minimum of 3–5 years of culinary experience in a high‑volume or fast‑casual kitchen environment. Minimum 2-year pizza experience Proven ability to lead in a hands‑on setting. Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. ServSafe Certification preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
