HR Advisor (AVP)

Job Description The HR Advisor is responsible for handling employee relations issues including coaching and advising leaders and employees on all performance management issues such as absenteeism, performance, compensation, misconduct, and ensuring compliance with policies, practices and applicable employment legislation. They act as a trusted advisor by providing consultation and resolution guidance to promote a positive workplace culture, and will research, resolve and respond to a variety of employment‑related matters. Basic Qualifications Typically has five or more years of experience in employee relations or as an HR generalist or equivalent HR position. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology or related field. Preferred Skills / Experience Experience in performance coaching, conflict resolution, and administering disciplinary action. Preferred previous experience working in HR operations or HR service center. Ability to work independently and to identify when to engage others. Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, listening, oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and proven ability to maintain confidential information. Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office. Schedule The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, requiring an in‑office presence of three or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
