Engineering Specialist Location: 203A Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville, MD 21666 Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Pay Range: $25 - $35/hr Hydrasearch is seeking an Engineering Specialist to join our team in Stevensville, MD! In this role, you will use your understanding of mechanical drawings, parts, and manufacturing processes to create and maintain accurate product information in our ERP and related systems. The role also provides opportunities to support drawing-related work, engineering changes, and technical problem solving as your skills develop. A four-year engineering degree is not required. What You’ll Do: Product Definition: Create and maintain Items, Bills of Material, Routers, Marking Instructions, and related product information in SyteLine. Manufacturing Documentation: Use approved drawings, specifications, and engineering inputs to create accurate manufacturing records. Drawing & Technical Support : Read and interpret mechanical drawings and work with engineers and drafters to prepare, update, and verify technical information. Production Support: Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to clarify product or process requirements and resolve routine technical or documentation questions. Engineering Changes: Apply approved engineering changes to affected product and manufacturing records and ensure related information remains aligned. Process Improvements: Identify missing or conflicting information and work with the appropriate engineer or drafter to resolve issues and improve product-definition processes. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or an associate degree is preferred, but relevant engineering or manufacturing experience can provide an equally strong foundation. A four-year engineering degree is not required. Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, drafting, quality, planning, or other technical environment. Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand how parts, materials, and manufacturing operations fit together. Comfortable working in computer systems and learning technical software. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests and follow issues through to completion. Ability to communicate clearly and recognize when an engineering decision or approval is needed.
