Radiology - MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist

This position is responsible for providing appropriate technological imaging services within the parameters of magnetic resonance imaging. The MRI Technologist will work independently while ensuring timely and efficient service in an outpatient clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI and MRA examinations in collaboration with physicians to provide effective patient care and diagnostic information.
• Understand hospital and departmental examination protocols and maintain proficiency with imaging equipment.
• Perform quality assurance on films and equipment, and ensure exams are completed, including Teleradiology of films.
• Administer contrast injections and adhere to infection control and MRI safety principles.
• Schedule examinations and review daily scheduled exams for necessary corrections.
• Maintain compliance with organizational policies and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
• Participate in professional growth and development to stay current with trends in the field.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in MRI technology, radiography, or a related field, followed by an MRI tech training program.
• Washington State Radiologic Technologists Certification, RT(R).
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) preferred within six (6) months of hire.
• CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers required within three (3) months of hire.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a radiology setting is preferred.

Friday: 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM Saturday/Sunday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM Monday: 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM
