Sales Associate

Job Title

We are a neighborhood Ace Hardware store seeking Sales Associates for our paint and hardware departments.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge and experience in all aspects of paint and/or hardware
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Knowledge of use of technology including computers, cash register and phones
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
• Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers
• Provide in store services (paint, key, lumber, etc.)
• Make product recommendations based on customers' needs
• Use of equipment for key cutting and paint mixing
• Maintain the store and aisles
• Assist all personnel in their job functions
• Help maintain accurate inventory throughout the store
• Participate in product and job knowledge training
• Perform all other duties as assigned
