Job Description

Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and project leadership. Oversee engineering activities supporting manufacturing operations, customer requirements, and new product development initiatives. Drive process optimization projects focused on improving productivity, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency. Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, work instructions, engineering change procedures, and production plans. Review customer requirements and product designs to ensure manufacturability and efficient production. Design and improve production tooling, including progressive and compound die applications. Collaborate with production, tooling, quality, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges and support ongoing operations. Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, managing budgets, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Support quality initiatives including process validation, corrective actions, capability studies, and continuous improvement activities. Analyze manufacturing performance data and identify opportunities for automation, waste reduction, and operational excellence. Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders while contributing to business growth and innovation initiatives. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost reduction programs throughout the operation.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred. Minimum of five years of engineering experience within manufacturing. Experience leading engineering teams, projects, or technical resources. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, machining, assembly, and metal-forming operations. Ability to develop and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and production methodologies. Experience supporting quality systems and regulated manufacturing environments. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with engineering design software and technical documentation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization. Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving Lean or operational excellence initiatives.
