Do meaningful work and shape the future of building solutions; apply today and come grow with us.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.Performing ongoing preventative maintenance on facility equipment.Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed.Comply and participate regulatory, Carlisle, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards (PSM, safety protocols, COS)Articulate to vendors/engineer's machine issue to resolve technical issues.Assist with basic electronics/ Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting.Utilize COS (Carlisle operating system) tools and training to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.Other duties as assigned.Requirements & ExpectationsEducation – High School diploma or GED required.Two to Three (2-5) years related maintenance experience.Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler.Mechanical background with rotating equipment. Hydraulic and pneumatic. Electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measuresKnowledge of various hand and power toolsPrior experience operating a forkliftAbility to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized informationEffective communication and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of basic math, reading, and writing skillsAbility to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situationsWorking Conditions:Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical and chemical substances/equipment.Hours worked: 8-10 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume.Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.Confined workspaces.Benefits and PerksPaid vacation and sick time with 11 paid holidays.Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Family Leave, Long and Short-term benefitsRetirement fund with company matchOngoing training and growth opportunitiesTuition reimbursement up to 100%
