Operations Manager- Service (Miami)

Location: Miami, FL Job Responsibilities Supervise superintendents and employees by providing direction, training, and performance management, including hiring and progressive discipline. Administer the company safety program, conduct safety audits when necessary, and promote a culture of safety. Visit job sites and perform quality audits to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and cost‑effectively. Conduct NIM job audits within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers, identify issues affecting equipment reliability, and provide improvement recommendations. Use accounting reports and Map Point to review route management and callbacks, making changes to improve profitability. Provide technical input to sales staff on scope of work and materials needed for bidding repair work, including calculation of labor and material costs. Enforce the Cancellation Reduction Program. Collaborate with the Branch Manager and service and repair Sales Managers to address customer needs. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements. Stay familiar with company products by attending training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods, working with regional field trainers. Administer the parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the industry. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least two years of management experience at a branch or departmental level. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage multiple abstract and concrete variables.
