Junior Staff Accountant

Hixen Search Group is partnering with a leading landscape provider to identify a staff accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build their career with a company This role will support day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close and AP and AR. Responsibilities: Perform daily accounting tasks, including data entry and maintaining accurate financial records Support AR, including customer billing, applying payments and reconciling accounts Assist with AP, including coding invoices and preparing payments Complete bank and account reconciliations and record GL entries Assist with journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Support month-end close activities, including reviewing accounts and reconciling balances Assist with internal audits and compliance with SOX controls Ad hoc projects as needed Why This Opportunity: Stable company with good benefits Very stable company with low turnover Work directly under the controller Benefits, 401K and PTO Desired Candidate Profile: 1-3 years previous experience preferred but not required Basic understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits and journal entries Knowledge of GAAP of governmental accounting a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel #J-18808-Ljbffr
