Join us and help defend the skies tomorrow!Position Responsibilities:Lead production engineering (PE) ensuring execution of SOW aligned to quality, safety, cost & delivery objectives – executing integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guiding the development of technical strategies to meet organizational goals with metrics in place to manage performance to plan, actions to improve, recovery plans, and communicating information at an executive levelProvide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes to ensure alignment with business plans and goals and compliance with command media, processes, proceduresDrive continuous improvement strategies embedded within the organizational culture to advance LEAN across the value stream. Proactively identify and adopt technologies and tools, aligned to BDS standardsShow a proactive and patient personality with a willingness to listen, coach, and lead the team with clear directionCommunicate clearly at all levels, adjusting for the audienceBring creative solutions and plans to solve problems, bringing engineering excellence aligned to program prioritiesLead execution of ‘start right’ production engineering, support gate reviews, proposal reviews, business capture, and future factory activitiesManage workforce talent ensuring teams are staffed with the skills needed.
