The position involves caring for patients with various diagnoses including heart failure, diabetes, respiratory conditions, and more. Strong skills in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential. Candidates must have experience managing IVs, administering blood products, and providing oxygen therapy. Expected to adhere to isolation precautions and proper use of personal protective equipment. The role includes participation in rapid response and code teams as required. Self-scheduling is provided, with every other weekend required. Weekends and holidays must be worked as scheduled. Candidates may be required to float within the specialty when needed. The unit has an average daily census of 26 patients and operates with a patient care ratio of 1:5. Daily responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams. Travelers are expected to comply with onboarding requirements and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
