I&E/Maintenance Technician

Clean Harbors, in Dickinson, TX, is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Maintenance Technician with an excellent INSTRUMENTATION and MECHANICAL aptitude to join our safety-focused team! The I&E Maintenance technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC/Delta V programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the maintenance departments with various tasks as needed such as rebuilding diaphragm pumps, swapping motors, conducting preventative maintenance. RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations Maintains accurate records and logs as required Installs new system controls (including power wiring) Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers Services and replaces motors and lighting Performs general maintenance Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? HS Diploma or Equivalent - required; Instrumentation degree, or certification - preferred; 4+ years of I&E experience in a plant environment - preferred; Solid instrumentation skills - required; PLC Programming experience (Delta V is preferred) - required; Honeywell experience - required; Distributed control system (DCS) experience - required; Installing VFDs (Variable Frequency Drive) - required; Mechanical aptitude and experience - required; Experience working with 480v and below - required; Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics - required; Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID) - required; Team player willing to assist where needed - required; Ability to prioritize work - required; Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for long periods of time - required; Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
